Blogging on “Fat” Issues

Published by lilysgramma at 7:30 pm under On Being "Weight Challenged" Edit This

Hello Readers, you have probably noticed a decline in my posts here, there is a reason for that.  At the inception of  this blog, “Fattyprejudice”, I named it such as I was frustrated about the amount of fat prejudice I have seen during my 1.5 year long job hunt.  I was brand new to blogging and didn’t realize that I was actually naming my blog SITE Fattyprejudice, I thought I was naming my first blog post.  We all have to start somewhere, right?

So now, as I have been trying to get back on track and posting more weight related entrys, I have found it difficult, without plageurizing other people’s posts, to find content.  I will still be posting on the subject, but it will be less often.  If you like my Random posts on life and everything else, you can go to my other blog called My Heart Voice, where I post on anything that comes to mind at the monent.   If you have any weight issues that you would like to read about, please post a comment to this post about the subject and I will research it and blog about it.  Thank you for reading my blogs and I hope to see you soon!!

    I hope you’ll still post.

Thank you for being one of the top ten Entrecard droppers on Recovery Rocks! I also thanked you on my blog.

I’m working on my Blogroll. May I add you? It’s not a link exchange, so nothing expected in return. Please let me know.

    Thanks.

Oh yes, I’ll still post, I’m just having trouble staying on topic. If you like my blog, in the meantime, please go to my other blog at www.myheartvoice.com. Thanks Roxie at http://recoveryrocks.today.com

I like the Fatty Prejudice title. I like the idea of talking about how overweight people are treated.

I’ll share one. Several years ago I lost 60 pounds. It looked like more because I was also exercising. I discovered that I got smarter as I got thinner. People trusted my opinions more. I had more to say.

Of course, I really wasn’t any smarter. People just seem to think that thin people are smarter than big fluffy ones.

Maxiegirl: YES! I get that too! Now that I’m older, its the double whammie “fat and old?? You must be REALLY stupid” look comes across their faces MUCH more often. LOL!! The best thing to do girl, is to prove them wrong. Be confident and try that much harder to let them see it! :)
