I love to have a deep tub just like what I experienced in Japan. Deep enough for me to be covered in water up to my shoulders. The only problem maybe that it is quite short in length. :)

What about a shower chair? Definitely not the same as a bath, but might be more relaxing than standing in shower.

Main thing is stay safe!

I'd say next time you look for an apartment ask if an apartment for the handicapped is available. They often have tubs with non-slip bottoms and grab bags.

Or ask your landlord to install them for you.

I have had tubs with all that, the problem is that I can't pull myself up, and can you think of anything more humiliating than having my husband haul me out of the tub like a beached whale? :b
