My Kingdom For A Big Bathtub
Oh it’s so chilly outside, and I don’t think the insulation in my apartment is very good, not just because I can hear the neighbors breathing, but because I’m freezing! What I wouldn’t give to be able to take a nice hot bath! I had to give up baths a long time ago because for one thing, the standard tubs just are not deep enough for me. Even if I fill it as high as possible, it just doesn’t cover everything. Number 2 is that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and even without it, I have a very hard time getting up from the floor, let alone from the slippery wet bathtub! I’ve seen commercials on television for the new kinds of tubs that you just open a door and step inside of. That would be awesome! Since I live in an apartment and won’t be buying a house anytime soon, that is out of the question, plus the expense, don’t get me started! I am a little envious when I see my granddaughter taking her beloved baths. She would take baths 3 or more times a day if we’d let her! Oh well, I guess I’m just going to have to settle for a shower.
BTW, this is NOT a paid ad for the tubs, It’s just something I’m dreaming about and I thought I’d put a link to a website for it so you can see what I’m talking about. Cheers!

I have had tubs with all that, the problem is that I can’t pull myself up, and can you think of anything more humiliating than having my husband haul me out of the tub like a beached whale? :b
I’d say next time you look for an apartment ask if an apartment for the handicapped is available. They often have tubs with non-slip bottoms and grab bags.
Or ask your landlord to install them for you.

What about a shower chair? Definitely not the same as a bath, but might be more relaxing than standing in shower.
Main thing is stay safe!

I love to have a deep tub just like what I experienced in Japan. Deep enough for me to be covered in water up to my shoulders. The only problem maybe that it is quite short in length.
