I Have Big … Elbows??

Published by lilysgramma at 7:55 pm under Life Edit This

I had to laugh when my 3 year old granddaughter came into my room while I was dressing the other day.  I was standing in my bra and panties when she looked up at me with wonder in her eyes and said “Gramma you have BIG Elbows!”  I looked at her and said, “I have big elbows?  What do you mean?”, as I twisted around to look at my elbows in the mirror.  Then she lifted up her shirt and showed me her chest and said “my elbows are little and mommy’s elbows are little, I want to have big elbows when I get big like you!”. Well I almost split my pants laughing!   She was not talking about the joint between my upper and lower arm, but about my bust size.  When my daughter came to pick her up after work I told her about the comment, and she said that she hasn’t corrected her about “elbows and breasts” so that  she won’t be embarrassed in public when Lily blurts out about how big some woman’s elbows are, which apparently, she has done on at least one occasion, as 3 year olds do.

Isn’t it wonderful how inquisitive and honest a 3 year  old is?  I just love it!

That’s hilarious! Great story you can tell her when she’s older.

Drop by my blog and write a six word memoir if you are so inclined.
